Hi,
For the first time in my life I have finally committed to the gym. Unfortunately, it’s taken me to 44 to do it and most things I read suggest that my body does not want to improve like it once did. I’m 6’ 2”, 240lbs (down from 340lbs 2 years ago) and I now train 5/6 times a week with a push, leg, pull, leg, upper split. I’m not carrying much muscle and am still trying to lose weight and sit in a 1000 calorie deficit a day but keeping my protein at 200g per day. I am getting stronger and building muscle but I feel like I have plateaued a bit.
Do I need to lose the fat first before I start or is there any benefit to doing it now? I have no issues with injecting but would really like to start on one thing first until I can see what my reaction is like.
Thanks in advance

Congratulations on your progress—you've done amazingly well, and based on your goals, it's generally best to continue reducing body fat first while building a solid training foundation.
