Hello hello, I'm looking for a little advice. I'm 53 I've been lifting for a few years now and am in surgical menopause.

I'm struggling to gain muscle and strength. I'm about to start my first cycle of anavar. I' am currently using estrogel and androfeme (testosterone cream for women) I have very high shbg.

Because of the high shbg I'm about to start a cycle of anavar. I'm considering two options:-

1. Stop using the testosterone cream while taking anavar and use 5 mg of anavar a day and restart the cream at the end of a cycle of 8 weeks.

2. Continue with the rest cream and take 2.5 mg anavar a day.

Obviously as pretty much all my hormones are exogenous there is not a need for a post cycle recovery.

Any thoughts? Thank in advance

Choosing Option 2 (continuing Androfeme cream with a conservative 2.5 mg of Anavar daily) is generally safer, as Anavar itself will rapidly crush your high SHBG levels and significantly free up your existing testosterone, whereas stopping the cream (Option 1) while taking a higher dose of Anavar (5 mg) increases the risk of masculinizing side effects from the compound itself.

Would there be any advantage to slightly reducing the androfeme while taking the anavar? Then returning to normal dosage after in order to help keep any strength gained?

Reducing Androfeme while taking Anavar can help mitigate the cumulative androgenic side effects of using two oral androgens simultaneously.
